Marisa Coene is from Rockville, MD. She is pursuing a bachelors and masters degree in biomedical engineering. Marisa has been named to the School of Engineering Dean’s List every semester. She is a member of The Catholic University of America’s University Honors Program, the Biomedical Engineering Society and Phi Eta Sigma. She is also involved with the Campus Ministry confirmation retreat team and volunteering with the Northwest Pregnancy Center.

 


Saba Owens is from Newark, De. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Catholic University of America and plans on obtaining a master’s degree through the accelerated master’s degree program. Saba has been on the School of Engineering Dean’s List every semester. He is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Phi Eta Sigma, and Catholic Men’s Ultimate Frisbee. In addition, Saba has been an engineering peer mentor to nine incoming freshmen students.

 
Benjamin Pesante is a senior Biomedical Engineering major/Spanish minor from Wakefield, Rhode Island. He has made the Dean's List every semester as an undergraduate and is also a Landmark Conference Scholar Athlete. He plays on the Men's Varsity Soccer Team at CUA and is also an academic tutor in Chemistry and Physics. He is president of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society as well as the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Last summer, he interned at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. After graduating, Pesante plans on going to medical school to pursue a career in the fields of orthopedics and biomechanics.
